Este hombre es Juan Luis Rodrigo, mi abuelo.
Desde la infancia siempre me impresionó su imaginación, creatividad y el sentido del humor que aplicaba en cada cosa que hacía, por pequeña que fuese. Y sin duda, esto me ha influído para desempeñar un trabajo creativo a día de hoy. Le agradeceré eternamente el montón de buenos momentos, los muchos sabios consejos y el amor y valor entregado para sacar adelante a mi enorme familia.
Descansa en paz, Yayo.

This man is Juan Luis Rodrigo, my grandfather.
His creativity and humour has impressed and influenced me since I was just a child. He's gone now. But here stays all the nice moments he gave to us, his wise advices and all the love and valour he gave away to my huge family.

Whut's up with Alai?

Due to the excesive projects and the different upcoming master plans I've decided to refuse the art direction of Alai Skateboards. This doesn't mean that I won't be designing for Alai anymore, because I really enjoy working with these guys.
So I'll keep the design of some decks and some clothing for each season.
Here you have a preview of a t-shirt you're gonna find in the skateshops soon.

Debido a la sobredosis de proyectos y planes que hay por ahí me he visto forzado a dejar la maravillosa dirección de arte de Alai Skateboards. Esto no significa que vaya a dejar de diseñar para Alai totalmente, no. Alai es la bomba, lo único que ahora lo que haré será diseñar alguna linea de tablas y de ropa para cada temporada en lugar de ocuparme de la dirección de arte con todo el trabajo que eso conlleva. Aquí os dejo un previo de una camiseta que encontrareis pronto en vuestra skateshop preferida.

Here you have 3 books where you can find some of my artworks, "Custom Kicks" is already for sale. Emil Kozak's "Plenty of Design" is coming soon and "New Skateboard Graphics" will be in stores by November, but you can pre-order it in Amazon. There are a lot of great artists on them, so I think you will not regret if you decide to take a copy.

AlaiKit (I like it)

This is an advance of the merchandising of the Alai new skateboard video: AlaiKit. The pronunciation of this word in spanish is like to say "I like it", just a word play.
I'm gonna show you soon the animation i'm doing for the intro and more merchandising such as tees, wheels, posters and stuff. I hope you like it.

En este caso no es una tabla normal de patín, si no un cruiser, que es un tipo de tabla más fina y con más forma que las normales. Ideales para navegar la ciudad.

New York City

I've been the past two weeks in NYC, into a new big project called GlobalBoarding.tv. I also been chillin' with my man and king of NYC, Luis Lucas. He knows everybody and everybody knows him, best guide ever. Tons of love to Luis and fam, ALIFE crew, Drocker, Mare139, The Foundation guys and Patxi to make of this travel a dope experience.

Zoonchez x Monsieur T.

This is the second collaboration I've made with Monsieur T. These guys kill it with the t-shirts season by season, take a look to their site to check it out by yourself. You can also see this and other ones from Le Monsieur in the latest Vapors mag

King and Queen

The owner of an apartment very close to mine tried to kill himself by leaving the gas open, the apartment exploded but he survived. The next day the firemen were cleaning the place and I found these pieces of wood which survived to the explosion. Now they are a poker King and Queen. Acrylic on wood.

Old School Riders

Alai skateboards just released a serie of boards for the spanish old-school riders who pushed up the scene back in the 80's. They could choose the designer, the board size, and what they want on their graphic. Edu "Rat" Saenz is one of them and he chose me to design a Virgen of Guadalupe for their board. It seems like he's happy with the graphic. I'm proud to be part of this project too.

Mi amigo y máxima autoridad de Alai skateboards, Carlos, se nos casa pronto con su chica Ainize. Me encargaron hacerles la invitación de boda para mandar a todos los amigos y familiares y he esperado hasta el último momento para entregársela, así no me la tiran atrás. En ella se ve a Ainize arrastrando a Carlos a la iglesia mientras este intenta agarrarse a lo que sea. Fuera bromas os deseo lo mejor de lo mejor parejita y que tardeis mucho, pero mucho mucho en divorciaros ;)

I just finished the redesign of the Alai Skateboards website, this had me a few weeks busy as hell. I invite you to check it out, specially the "Selecta" section, the artistic division of Alai where great artists like Fernando Elvira, Bongoût or Eltono contributed with decks as canvas. Check out the video section too, with the full lenght video "AlaiOle", the Bamboo tour in China and a lot of "Weeklips", a weekly video clip filmed and edited by Edu Muñoz.

Acabo de terminar el rediseño de la web de Alai Skateboards. Esto me ha tenido estos días más ocupado que el peluquero de chewacca, te invito a echarle un ojo en especial a la sección de Selecta, el espacio dedicado a colaboraciones con artistas como Fernando Elvira, Bongoût o Eltono por ejemplo.
