C1RCA introduces the Culture Squad and four artist features for Spring 2010. I'm happy to be one of those.

“Culture Squad is a celebration of relationships – some new, some going on 10 years. The program aims to promote our friends in all cultural fields while bringing something special to the plate, as some of the projects have royalties that go directly to specific charities around the world.”

Grafitti workshop

Yesterday I was the monitor of a graffiti workshop for 8-12 aged kids.
I really had a sick time with all those kids and their street art. They tagged with markers and cans, then started with some color pieces and throw ups till cans were empty. I even saw some parents and babies testing the cans too.
We painted everything, from walls to t-shirts.
I also did some piece for Josep, the guy who made it possible.

Ayer fuí el monitor de un taller de graffiti para chavales de 8-12 años (aunque también vi a algún padre por ahí probando los botes y a algun chavalillo que no podía ni con ellos). La experiencia fue la bomba, los chavales sacaron todo su arte callejero, probaron con tags, piezas a color, monigotes, de todo.
Aproveché también para hacer una pieza para el organizador, Josep.

This past Friday the doors of Apetit Gallery in Bilbao (Spain) were finally open to the public with the exhibition "Painting Alive".

Ahi estuvimos encerraos preparando el show los Desviados Asier y Murphy, Adrian Blanca y Pepa Prieto.
La verdad que ha sido la bomba trabajar con esta gente y hemos pasado un buen rato entre pinceles, rotuladores, clavos y alcayatas. Gracias a todos los que fuisteis!

AlaiKit (I like it)

This is an advance of the merchandising of the Alai new skateboard video: AlaiKit. The pronunciation of this word in spanish is like to say "I like it", just a word play.
I'm gonna show you soon the animation i'm doing for the intro and more merchandising such as tees, wheels, posters and stuff. I hope you like it.

New York City

I've been the past two weeks in NYC, into a new big project called GlobalBoarding.tv. I also been chillin' with my man and king of NYC, Luis Lucas. He knows everybody and everybody knows him, best guide ever. Tons of love to Luis and fam, ALIFE crew, Drocker, Mare139, The Foundation guys and Patxi to make of this travel a dope experience.

This is the second collaboration I've made with Monsieur T. These guys kill it with the t-shirts season by season, take a look to their site to check it out by yourself. You can also see this and other ones from Le Monsieur in the latest Vapors mag

King and Queen

The owner of an apartment very close to mine tried to kill himself by leaving the gas open, the apartment exploded but he survived. The next day the firemen were cleaning the place and I found these pieces of wood which survived to the explosion. Now they are a poker King and Queen. Acrylic on wood.

Old School Riders

Alai skateboards just released a serie of boards for the spanish old-school riders who pushed up the scene back in the 80's. They could choose the designer, the board size, and what they want on their graphic. Edu "Rat" Saenz is one of them and he chose me to design a Virgen of Guadalupe for their board. It seems like he's happy with the graphic. I'm proud to be part of this project too.
